Most chalet owners like to pretend their property is ?close? to the lifts. But ours really is. That?s why we bought it. But that doesn?t mean Chalet Henri is built up. Far from it. Standing in its own plot ? and enjoying uninterrupted views across and down the valley ? it is ideally placed for you to enjoy your stay.

Haute Nendaz ? www.nendaz.ch ? is a popular winter and summer resort. Less ?glitzy? than Verbier, it is nevertheless a proper town and seriously well-equipped: there are around 35 restaurants, more than a dozen bars, 7 supermarkets, several ski and other clothes shops, three boulangeries, an ice rink, sports hall, squash courts, and 8 tennis courts and a large swimming pool (for summer). It has a very special atmosphere loved by old and young alike. Its most outstanding feature is its wonderful open views across two ranges of the Alps and the vast Rhone valley.

It?s also a short drive from Sion ? one of the loveliest, and oldest, major towns in Switzerland with its own airport (direct to UK), train station, hospital and department stores. For its skiing and walking, Nendaz is world-renowned. Linked directly to Verbier, Mont-Fort, Siviez, Veysonnaz and Thyon, it sits in the centre of the huge ?4 Vallees? offering over 400km of pistes and unparalleled off-piste for advances skiers. In summer, there are several hundred km of walks and trails that attact hikers ? and mountain bikers ? from across Europe and beyond, who come back time and again to get their fix of fresh mountain air and superb scenery.
