Property Description

The open plan lounge area is framed by wood carved light boxes lovingly restored from the original barn, a particular feature in Savoyard buildings, whilst the stone set woodburner ensures a cosy setting where you can snuggle up in front of the surround sound TV with a soft throw. The bar has been hand crafted from old timber beams and is perfect to sit and unwind with a pre dinner drink . Our spacious paneled dining/ reading area seats up to 14, adjacent to the fully equipped kitchen. There is a bathroom (with bath) for those who like a long soak, alternatively a quick shower and jump in the hot tub on the covered balcony. This allows you views across the Criou mountains where you can relax and watch the setting sun turn them a beautiful shade of pink. There is one double en-suite bedroom located off the entrance hall whilst the rustic timber stair case sweeps up to the high ceilinged second floor, comprising of a further five en-suite guest rooms. Two large beamed double rooms, with extra single bed. One medium sized double and one extra large family room with double bed and bunks. Finally one childrens room located in the eaves with low level beds and small ensuite shower room. All the rooms are stylishly equipped and the en-suites all have a shower, wc, washbasin and heated towel rail.

Uniquely the chalet also has a small dance floor with lights, for those special occasions, when you want to dance yourself dizzy!

Local Activities

Winter in the Grand Massif offers plenty of activities for all the family. An excellent snow record ensures your perfect skiing and snowboarding holiday. There's a comprehensive beginners area at the top of the telecabine Morillon 1100, and some beautiful tree lined slopes for all levels. Mountain restaurants are a plenty and easily accesible for all levels. Part of the Grand Massif, Morillon has links to Samoens, Les Carroz, Flaine and Sixt a 265km ski domain. The cross country ski area has 94.5km of trails, ranging from easy lake side trails to the more challenging routes on the col de Joux Plane. Chalet Pomet is located a 15 minute walk from the main lift, we offer a daily shuttle service to make your access to the slopes swift and easy. Skis and equipment can be hired next to the telecabine with a 15% discount for Pomet guests.



The picturesque alpine village of Morillon is a laid back resort, centred around the main street of friendly bars and restaurants. Le Coin opposite the telecabine is perfect for an apres ski vin chaud and to soak up the buzz of the days activities and often has live music. In the winter Lac Bleu has a lakeside ice rink which is great for the kids. There are also a good range of restaurants from family fare to local french dining. Five minutes by car is the nearby village of Samoens. Here you can find restaurants, bars and an excellent range of speciality shops centered around the market square.

There are plenty of Summer activities on offer in the Giffre valley. There is so much to see and do for all ages, the slopes turn into glorious flower filled meadows, with two lifts open at morillon 1100 there are plenty of walks and bike trails to explore. Parapenting off the top of the mountain is a must do.


There is a year round market which is great for local produce with some fantastically gooey goats cheeses and honey to enjoy in the Summer sun. If you haven't over indulged too much, follow one of the walks starting from the chalet door.

With the River Giffre running through the valley there are a range of rafting and water activities on offer. Morillon lake, Lac Bleu is just a 10 minute walk from the Chalet and is a great spot for the kids with a fantastic adventure tree top park.
