Local Activities
In the hills above Pescia half way between Lucca and Florence. The nearest village is San Quirico with basic shops and bar (about a km). Casselvecchio another half a km further has the nearest restaurant. Pescia is about 8km with all usual facilites. Market day is Saturday morning and there is a daily flower market. Lucca is about a 20 minute drive and Florence about an hour. Montecatini with its spas and international golf course is 16 km. Other sports in the area include tennis, volleyball and boule. Bicycles are available to hire. For those with young children there is Pinocchio Park at Collodi, the italian idea of a theme park. For those with more expensive tastes the outlets are just outside Florence housing names such as Dolce and Gabbanna and Gucci. The beach is less than an hour away.
