Property Description

Maison de la Botte has been beautifully decorated thoughout by its interior designer owner and is an extremely spacious house in the heart of Olonzac. With a huge living area, kitchen and separate drawing room, the house is designed to easily accommodate 6 - 8 adults in comfort with four large bedrooms and three luxury bathrooms . The kitchen is ''made to cook'' with a large Lacanche cooker, and extensive, top of the range cooking equipment.

The house is also equipped with satelite TV (one on the ground floor and one in the main bedroom; all other bedrooms have their own terrestrial tv too) and fast internet connection is available for your holiday.

In the centre of the property there is a large, mediterranean, secluded garden with a 12 meter indoor swimming pool (which is available all year round - heating available on request) and, as the entire property is bordered by its own outbuildings, completly private and secure.

In addition one of the outbuildings has been converted to a Sports Hall/Games Room which includes Childrens Badminton, Table Tennis, Plasma TV and Xbox 360.

Just outside the house gates are many shops and restaurants and a wonderful park with tennis courts; the Lac de Jouarres is only two minutes away for swimming, boating, fishing or windsurfing and the Canal du Midi is also only two minutes away.

Maison de la Botte was awarded 5 stars from Clé Vacances, the french tourist board, in 2007.

The Minervois is in the region of the Languedoc in the South of France. This wine growing region spans the departments of Aude and Herault and is easily accessed and has much to offer from its rich history.

Land of wild gorges, red wines, Cathar villages, perfumed garrigue, abbeys, castles, rivers for fishing or swimming, magical scenery and all close to the Mediterranean. The roman town of Narbonne is just thirty minutes away to the east and the magical Cité at Carcassonne is thirty mins to the west.

There is much to see and do in the area but there are also some very worthy day trips to be had. Perhaps a day in Montpellier, Nîmes or Toulouse. Throughout the Pyrenees and along the Mediterranean coast you can find ancient castles and picturesque villages that have been untouched by time. Walking and cycling are very popular in the Montagne Noire where there are rich areas of wildlife and beautifull scenery; or perhaps even a trip to Spain - the border is just and hour and a half away!



Olonzac is a beautiful and unspoilt market village in the heart of the wine making area of Languedoc Roussillon. Against the backdrop of the Black Mountains, the village is surrounded by vineyards and beautiful scenery not to mention a host of wine making properties dotted around the small villages of the area. The Canal de Midi is just minutes away as are a large selection of restaurants, shops and amenities.

As a living village, Olonzac thrives all year round; the market attracts many visitors from miles around and there are numerous festivals and events during both summer and winter months. It has its own bars, restaurants and shops so you get all you need locally.
