Perfect for families, groups or a romantic escape, Le Belvedere is a beautiful private home and one you can make yours for the duration of your stay. We have created an ambiance to match the location with a sense of style, comfort and understated luxury that is both inviting and intimate.

Le Belvedere is a traditional French villa built from local stone and chestnut wood and finished in walnut. It features built-in walnut cupboards and doors mostly in their original state that have seen over 300 years with very little restoration work needed. The floors in the master bedroom are still in their original state and are crafted from chestnet parquetry.

Built over 300 years ago, Le Belvedere has been a government building, local council house, school, and private residence. In 1995 Jean-Marc and Dominique Crampe purchased Le Belvedere and took on the painstaking job of returning it to its original glory. After 12 years, you are today able to see the house restored to its original state with the convenience of modern day services. The adjacent Grange was in ruin at the time the Crampes began their work and they have since completely rebuilt it and are now residing in the Grange as Managers of 'Le Belvedere'.

The current owners of Le Belvedere take the opportunity to enjoy the relaxing French countryside when visiting the Pyrenees and would like to invite you to experience this wonderful property.

Every room at LeBelvedere offers something unique and special. The Grand Salon is the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine in front of the open fireplace, while the living room on the first floor with its big flop couches, entertainment system and and extensive DVD library is ideal for families.

The large dining room seats up to 10 people and the newly renovated kitchen has every modern convenience including a modern range stove, dishwaher, microwave and espresso machine.

Each of the bright and airy bedrooms has its own private ensuite, while the regal Master Suite with its original chestnut parquetry floors, soaring ceilings and antique furnishings also features a seperate sitting room.

There are two more double suites on the second floor with quaint dorma windows that offer breath taking views out across the valley and a twin room on the first floor, ideal for youngsters.

Croissants and coffee overlooking the Pyrenees is the perfect way to start the day.

Set on a stunning one acre property in Salles Argeles with a location that commands exhilarating mountain views, Le Belvedere has it all. The alfreso/deck area features a gas BBQ, day beds and outdoor dining. A raised deck overlooks the swimming pool and lawned area of the lower gardens which are shaded by giant Horsechestnut trees.

Le Belvedere is a significant part of the heritage of the 11th century village of Salles. At the heart of village is the monastry which is still in use today, and aside from the few new residences, much of the village has remained unchanged for centuries.

Like many of the Pyrenean mountain villages, Salles is linked to nearby villages via a network of walk trails that cut through forests, crop fields and streams and date back hundreds of years... well worth exploring.
