Property Description

Leogang ski chalet apartments

Our house consists of several smaller units which combined together can accommodate a maximum of 40 persons.Each unit is self contained and there are a variety of sizes available. Bed and breakfast or self catering options are available.We are ideally located in the village, with a ski bus stop less than 5 minutes walk away. The main Leogang gondola is 1 Km away,accessing the famous Ski Circus of Saalbach and Hinterglemm. We offer free Sauna (5 times per week in winter) Hot Tub,Solarium,Childrens Play Room,Table Tennis,Pool,Table Football and Sky TV ( in socialroom/bar). There is a free computer corner for guests to access the internet, or free WIFI is also available. Our Cosy Bar is available for guests enjoyment.

In summer guests have cycle storage facilities and a Garden with outdoor furniture and BBQ.All guests in summer receive a free Summer Card included in the price of their holiday. This entitles them to free unlimited use of 3 Swimming Pools, one just a couple of minutes walk from the house. Daily free Cable Car ride , ( without cycle) in Leogang, Saabach or Hinterglemm. Free guided walking programme and free childrens activities with supervision.

Living Area:

The living rooms are all well furnished and combined with a kitchen/dining area. There is a TV in each living area and a double sofa bed . All units have a balcony with magnificent mountain views. Cots and high chairs are available on request. The house is non smoking.

Kitchen Facilities:

The kitchen and living area are combined in each unit. All kitchen areas are fully equipped with crockery and cutlery. Each unit has a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle, most have a dishwasher. We provide T towels.

Outside:

We are located directly on the cycle path in a quiet yet central position in Leogang. We have a garden with BBQ and car parking for several cars.The ski bus stop is just a couple of minutes from the house, and the supermarket is also just a short walk away.

Suitability

Leogang is suited to skiers of all abilities, although serious black run skiers may find the area limited.There are great childrens kindergarten facilities, and also an indoor creche which can be used in conjunction with ski school for very small children. The Ski Circus is the largest linked ski area in Austria, offering vast skiing which even in high season is not overcrowded. From Mid march to the end of season all children will receive a FREE ski pass if just 1 adult purchases a 3 day or more pass. Non skiers can equally enjoy a winter holiday, with cross country skiing available, and the opportunity to try snow shoe walking through the forests. In the evenings, there are horse sleigh rides,tobbogoning and evening skiing to keep all the family occupied. Nightscene in Leogang is limited mostly to cosy bars and restaurants.

Local Activities

In winter, most activies are connected with winter sports . It is however equally possible to enjoy a winter walking holiday, and many paths are clear for this purpose. In summer Leogang is famous for the Bike Park, which hosts European Championship riders downhill competitions. Courses are available to improve mountain biking skills. There are also over 400 Km of cycle paths in the valley offering graded trails for all ability of riders.
Walking is popular with magnificent scenery and well marked routes and there are many local huts along the way to rest and enjoy a cold beer in the sunshine. Every August the nearby town of Saalfelden hosts a 3 day Jazz Festivel, now in its 30th year, and in nearby Zell am See it is possible to pursue many water based activites around the lake. Serious adrenalin junkies can try white water rafting, canyoning, para gliding, or ice climbing.
Spring,summer and autumn skiing is also available at the Kaprun Glacier a short drive from Leogang.

Other Information

In high winter season our changeover days are limited to Saturdays only, but at other times we can be flexible. We also offer short breaks in mid or low season. Transfers or car rental can be arranged. Ski school and rental can also be organised in advance, with a reduction on normal prices for our guests.
