Property Description

The chalet is situated on the hillside with spectacular views, 5 minutes drive from the cable car link to Pila. Pila 2000 (1700ms to 2800ms) is a family friendly resort which is ideal for beginners, intermediates and also popular with snow boarders. There are 70 kms of mainly intermediate runs and plenty of off- piste challenges. It holds an excellent snow record and has all the facilities of a well equipped resort including a very good ski school, crèche and ski hire shops where you can leave your equipment at the end of the day and come and go in soft shoes. The restaurants and slope side bars are considerably cheaper than better known ski resorts, often less than half that of top French resorts. Lift queues are also much less of a problem than in more commercialised areas.

The chalet is also ideally situated as a base for a ski safari of the Aosta Valley and over into the interlinking resorts in France and Switzerland. The 1100 kms offer the largest area in Europe available under one lift pass. The motorway along the valley floor is 10 minutes away and from there it`s a 15-20 minutes to either Courmayeur or La Thuile/ La Rosiere or, in the other direction it`s about an hour to either Cervinia/ Zermatt or Monterosa/ Gressonay. The famous Valle Blanche excursion between France and Italy can also be accessed via Courmayeur avoiding Chamonix`s notorious ice steps.

Living Area:

The chalet comprises two self contained apartments, one with a double bedroom and one with a twin bedroom and a bunk bed room making a total of three bedrooms and two living ares. Each of the two living / dining areas have a double sofa bed. The upstairs living area has a video + video library and dvd player. There is a log burning stove in each. The upstairs apartment has a bathroom with a bath and jacuzzi attachment and an ensuite wc for the bunk bed room. The ground floor apartment has a shower room.

Kitchen Facilities:

There are two kitchen areas each with gas rings, fridge and all utensils. The downstairs has a microwave. The downstairs dining area has a table which seats 12.

Outside:

The chalet is set on the hillside with panoramic views over the valley. It is completely private and not overlooked. There`s an orchard area to the front and a long drive with parking for 3 to 4 cars + garage storage area.
