Property Description

Chalet Hirondelles has 3 bedrooms( being converted to 3 ensuites April 2011) (2 double and 2 twins). Sleeps 8 people. Central heating, one bathroom (full size bath) and one ensuite shower roomin master suite. Modern kitchen including large upright fridge/freezer, cooker, dishwasher, microwave, CD and sound system. Flat screen DVD/cd and ipod docking station. In the Winter it is a paradise for downhill and cross country skiing with the xcountry course right outside the chalet and the free Navette (shuttle bus) for the downhill lift system stops right outside the chalet. The area is authentic and is a working farming village in the summer. High alpine walks, golf, tennis, local swimming pools and many activities are available in the summer. It is very quiet in spring and autumn. The restaurant opposite is world famous and does the most exquisite food with local produce and wines.

Bedrooms: Ground floor master double with ensuiye shower cubicle (multiple jets).
First floor double bedroom and wash basin.
First floor has ne double and one twin both with ensuite showers and WC.
Bathrooms: Ground shower room wc and wash basin.
First floor full size bath with over shower as master ensuite wash basin and s wc.
Kitchen: Fully equipped, full size electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, large fridge/freezer, deep fat fryer, slow cooker, pans, crockery and cutlery.
Living Rooms: Wi FI, alsoFlat screen DVD/cd with IPOD docking station, plays DVDs and CDs all in one. Comfortable sofas and dining table for 8 in open plan setting. The lounge is cosy and perfect for 6 OK for 8 but no more than that to enjoy the comfort.
Other: Storage for skis on balcony and boots under stairs.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service: Linen and cleaning are provided and the central heating is very efficient.

Notes on accommodation
The chalet due to its location is not suitable for the elderly or infirm. Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts.

Outside
There is a small balcony and small a seating area outside where you can enjoy lunch in outside in the Summer, the area is so beautiful that you will want to explore.The area is marvellous for walking the numerous local foootpaths, the house being directly on the famous GR5.

Golf
There is a golf course at Les Arcs which is 3km away - open in the Summer months when snow melts.

Skiing
Perfect for downhill and cross country skiing. Part of the Les Arcs and La Plagne ski area now called Paradiski - we are above the bucket lifts and when the snow is right the advanced skiers can ski back to, but not from, the chalet - navette stops right outside and is frequent.

Travel
Chambery 1 hour, Lyons 2 hours, Geneva 2 hours, Grenoble 3 hours, TGV in Bourg St Maurice 15km in the valley. Car hire is essential.

Distances
Set in Nancroix, nearest supermarket in Peisey/Nancroix 2km and Vallandry about the same. Walking and cross country skiing from your door.

Further details
Cash machines and banks at Vallandry, Bourg and Les Arcs.
Restaurants on site and in local villages, Val D'Isere,Tignes, The 3 Valleys- Merribel, Courcheval and Val Thorens bewteen 1 hour and 1 and half hours away. Italy, La Rossiere and La Thuille, 1 hour.
