Property Description

The chalet was purpose built in 2006 to a high specification and affords 360 degree panoramic mountain views. Luxury summer self catering holidays with welcome basket of start up supplies and homemade cake.

Catered winter holidays, we offer an exemplary and memorable holiday experience. In a tranquil village, it is only minutes from the busy resort of Morzine and less than ten minutes from Les Gets. A perfect place from which to explore the Portes de Soleil alpine area, and is only 70 minutes from both Geneva Airport and Montreux in Switzerland.

Beautifully appointed, guest accommodation and facilities are spread over 3 floors, with spacious main reception and dining areas on the first floor. The huge south-facing balcony affords stunning views towards Avoriaz. Colour accent walls, white Egyptian cotton bed linen, L'Occitane toiletries, Designers Guild cushions, enormous rustic dining table, Smeg fridge, chandeliers, double height window affording stunning mountain views.

Living Rooms: Main reception room with leather sofas, wide screen TV, DVD player, DVDs, Wii. Library and children's areas. Wifi internet access. Separate dining area with large table and Smeg retro fridge.
Other: Games room with table tennis and table football. Library area with lifestyle books and magazines on 2nd floor mezzanine area. Children's play area with games, toys and books on 2nd floor mezzanine area.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service: Summer. One set of bedlinen and bath towels per week are included in the price. Mid-week clean is available for an additional cost. Welcome basket with basic start up supplies provided plus homemade cake. Winter. Cleaning, linen provided.

Outside hot tub for use until 9pm. All beds in the chalet can be arranged as singles or doubles (apart from bunk beds) therefore offering flexible accommodation. Underfloor heating on first floor, radiators in all bedrooms, and heated towel rails in all bathrooms. The chalet conforms to all necessary French health and safety standards. Fire extinguishers are located on all floors, smoke alarms are fitted and fire exits are clearly marked. Safe bike storage is available within the chalet. Private off street parking. The chalet is perfect for those who wish to be near to the amenities and facilities of Morzine, but seek a peaceful and beautiful holiday location.

Accessibility
The chalet has two sets of stairs, so is not suitable for guests with mobility problems. Due to the non-standard size of the staircases, stair gates cannot be fitted.

Outside
The balcony is equipped with outdoor furniture, including table, chairs, parasol and BBQ.



All prices include unlimited wine, beer, soft drinks and a complimentary aperitif and digestif.

Local Activities

Coast/Beach
The chalet is approx 30 minutes from Lake Leman (Lake Geneva) offering water sports, such as sailing and windsurfing. River activities such as white water rafting, kayaking, canyoning and hydrospeeding can be found on the River Dranse, towards Thonon Les Bains. Morzine, a five minute drive away has an Olympic size swimming pool complex (with two children's pools).

Golf
Evian Masters Golf Course is approx 35 minutes from the chalet. 18 holes, 72 par, set in a 150 acre wooded park, the course has well defended greens, narrow fairways and water hazards. The Evian Royal Open takes place between 28 June and 1 July 2007.
Morzine-Avoriaz Golf Course at Proclou (1600 m) offers a 9 hole, 36 par course in superb surroundings. A challenging course, it requires a certain level of physical fitness.
The 18 hole Golf Course at Les Gets offers a fairly technical course in amazing alpine surroundings.

Skiing
The chalet is a five minute's drive from the lifts in Morzine, a ski resort at the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area, one of the largest ski areas in the world, comprising of 13 resorts stretching from Mont Blanc to Lake Geneva. There is a total of 650km marked runs and 230 lifts spread over 14 valleys. Morzine and Les Gets are popular with families, due to the range of ski-ing available for beginners to intermediate level. More challenging slopes can be found in Avoriaz, a five minute bubble ride from Morzine. A fully-catered only service is available from mid December-April. Travel
The nearest airport is Geneva, a 70 minute drive. Car hire is essential to maximise your ability to explore the region. Calais is approximately 860 miles from Essert Romand. Count on a 9 hour drive from here with a few stops!

Distances
Morzine is 32km from Thonon Les Bains, 40km from Evian, 90km from Annecy, 90km from Montreux, 118km from Lausanne. 67km from Chamonix and 23km from Samoens.

Further details
There is a very friendly restaurant/bar within walking distance of the chalet, and a huge selection in Morzine. The nearest supermarket is less than 5 minutes away and during high season is open on Sundays. Some banks are closed on Monday. Morzine market takes place on Wednesday. Both Morzine and Thonon Les Bains have open air swimming pools (open June-mid September). Visit Evian for its thermal spa and casino. Both Thonon Les Bains and Evian offer fantastic opportunities for water sports. There is a ferry service between Evian and Lausanne in Switzerland. For shopping, visit Annecy. For more local sights visit Domaine de Ripaille in Thonon Les Bains, a monestry and castle set in vineyards. In Morzine, visit the workshop at the slate quarries, and see local cheeses being made at the Fromagerie L'Alpage. In addition to the fantastic opportunities for mountain bikers and road riders, other outdoor activities include tennis, riding, mountain hiking, hiking with donkeys, rock climbing, indoor skating and fishing. For those wishing to enjoy the mountains but in a leisurely way, wander around Lake Montriond, along the banks of the Dranse, or view Old Morzine on one of the horse drawn carriage excursions.
