Property Description

Welcome to Bura Snow and welcome to La Rosière, a friendly unspoiled little village; One of the well kept secrets of the French Alps and blessed with a snow record that equals the best in Europe. When the sun goes down it has an intimate and lively après ski life that will entertain both the gastronomes and the members of your party who want only a few hours sleep a night.

We care for a maximum of twelve at a time in 'Le Mouflon' itself and we can accommodate larger parties on request.

Living Area:

Accomodation in chalet Le Mouflon consists of two large family rooms both with en-suite facilities, a large double and a twin room with adult sized bunk beds. All rooms, with the exception of the twin, enjoy superb views over the Haute Tarentaise valley.

Kitchen Facilities:

The dining room extends along the entire south of the chalet, with lots of room to enjoy some terrific cooking and amazing views across the Tarentaise. After a great day on the slopes why not relax in our sauna or jacuzzi bath.

Outside:

Skiing in La Rosière is a revelation! L'Espace San Bernardo covers an amazing 150 Kilometres of international piste that includes the Italian resort of La Thule. For the more excitable of us there's the prospect of the cheapest Heli-Skiing in Europe on the Ruitor glacier. The off piste skiing in La Rosière is vast and accessible to many with the assistance of a mountain guide and it's the only resort in France able to offer you a helicopter to take you to the top of a mountain. (heliskiing requires good physical fitness and a reasonable level of skiing to make the most of your day. All trips are made with a fully qualified high mountain guide who will choose the runs to suit your level and for your safety).

Best Holiday Ever :-)
Dear Bura Boys, Thank you so much for such an amazing holiday. Everything exceeded my expectations... especially the food! Wow, every night the food seemed to get better and better and it was great to come home after a day of skiing to be fed such great quality food. Of course, the beers and wine included was also an added bonus!

Loved sitting by the fire with a red and chatting to all the guys and other guests. I’m already telling all my friends about it and trying to figure out ways to return for next year. Thanks again, keep doing what your doing cos its fantastic.

Bura Snow? Bura Brilliant!
What do you want from a snow holiday? You want a nice place to stay, friendly surroundings, great food and drink, excellent ski areas.. Bura Snow provided all this and more, with staff that cannot do enough to help and make your stay as comfortable a possible whether it be creating a culinary delight for the evening meal, making sure you glass is always full or getting out on the mountain with you and showing you the best runs as a ski guide. I've been on a lot of snow holidays but I can safely say without doubt this was the one I had the most fun on - from providing great evenings to snowboarding for 20 minutes and not even seeing another person (you really feel like you have the mountain to yourself here). This is a place I can see myself coming back to again and again, roll on next winter!

Bura Boys do it best
I can't recommend Bura Snow enough. it's by far the best chalet i have stayed in! The staff are really welcoming and friendly and really make you feel completely at home. The chalet is also very comfortable and the views from the large outside balcony are stunning.
The food also exceeded my expectations. Every night it was delicious, plentiful and exactly what was needed after a hard day on the slopes.
By far, the best hospitality in The Alps. I'll be back!

Queenstown reunion at Bura Snow!
Bura Snow chalet is real good fun! It's so close to everything which is a massive plus. ie the Slopes, the Bars etc etc. Also, another plus is Matt's cooking! Very nice if i do say so myself. Very impressed. The rooms are very spacious and very clean! In all, it is a cracking place for a ski holiday. 5* all the way!

Bura Snow gave us a fantastic week holiday. The food was beautifully prepared, the staff friendly and helpful, the chalet comfortable and homely - if only they could control the snow I'm sure there would have been some more powder for us to ride! There is some great terrain in La Rosiere, and with the Bura boys are always keen to get out and show you the best spots on the mountain. Cheers for a wicked week, I'll certainly be booking with you again.

Hello Boys! Am off to visit a friend in Chamonix this weekend and I cant help but think its not going to be nearly as much fun as I had in January. Seriously though, one of the best vacations I have ever had. Great cooking, company and fantastic snow. If you'll have me back next year, I'll book now! Given how much I've raved about the chalet I'll probably have lots of friends with me next time. Thanks for taking great care of me and hope you enjoy the rest of the season. Looking at these pictures makes me want to come back!!
Just wanted to say a massive thank you for an amazing holiday! We all had such a good time and we are already looking forward to next year! Thought the resort and chalet were great and Matt's cooking was top class!.... and of course not forgetting Jaden’s yummy cakes!
Also thanks to Irish and Ben for showing us around the resort, this really helped to find the best runs at the start of the holiday.
