(The internal staircase is very steep so great care is needed if you have young children. There is however another outside staircase that runs up the side of the building.)

Nestled between the two five star hotels in Zermatt?s centre the Hinterdorfstrasse is a charming quiet cobbled street & the oldest part of the village. Many of the buildings date back to the 1700?s. Hinterdorf is now a listed & protected area. 2 mins walk to the river at the junction with Le Mazot, Buses run in both directions every 10 mins during peak times. 5 mins on the bus to the furthest lift from Zermatt - Klein Matterhorn.

A 4 minute walk down the Bahnhofstrasse.
Klein Matterhorn:
Best to take the bus (see above) or a 15 min walk.
Sunnegga:
A 7 minute walk down past the bus stop & along the river.
Town Centre;
The Bahnhofstrasse (High St.) with restaurants, bars & shops just a one minute walk.
Train Station:
A 4 minute walk or take an Electro Taxi for CHF20 with luggage.
