Local Activities
Imst Mountain Railways: The skiing area with Europe's longest, illuminated piste (4 km downhill). Last year our illuminated
piste was the winner of the year – ski and snowboard freaks were delighted! This year it was further lengthened. By the way:
Our 4 km long toboggan run is also illuminated! Have a bite at one of our alpine pastures and huts in the skiing area!
Snowshoe-hiking:
Pure Adventure – hike through the snow-covered landscape of Hoch-Imst to the Untermarkter Alm alpine pasture in snowshoes
– information in the tourist office.
Winter hiking:
80 km of cleared hiking trails lead on quiet paths through winter. Discover the romantic magic of Imst on guided hiking tours
(middle of December to the end of March). We also offer winter sleigh-rides and other sports activities, eg. tobogganing or
indoor-climbing. For the little ones (from 2 years of age) child supervision is available from Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to
12.30 pm at no extra cost. Children-special: free skiing course at the ski school Hoch-Imst for children between 4 and 7 years.
As supporting program a children's festival takes place at the test-slope! Of course family tobogganing is available as well a
Family on Ice program and Haflinger-sleigh-rides.
